Great spence 2006-05-24 8:36

Nothing better for a landscape photographer than dark skies and sunshine, Andrew, and you made the most of it here. The light is gorgeous. I can't help feeling that the image is on the verge of being over-sharp, but it's a lovely shot. Composition is good, with the boat in the foreground filling that space nicely. Good to have the two men there for a human connection, too.

Default To spence: Thanks for constructive comments

Hi Jennifer, who can't be all that far away! Actually, I'm typing this in the Noble Park area where I work part time. (Noble? And where's the park?). Yes, I agree with your comment about the over-sharpening. I noticed straight away that even the one small degree of sharpening I used had a big effect on the cable stays of the yacht. It's always good to receive constructive criticism.

You made me laugh about Noble Park! I'm in Murrumbeena, a name with no delusions of grandeur - I believe it means "many frogs"!
