A sad story to go with this interesting shot, Chris. I wonder if the wreck is still there and looking in the same state? If so, it's surprising that it hasn't either been "tidied", or graffitied. Your shot documents the site very well.

I attached a link to a shot of the crash site taken in 2003. The trees have grown a bit since 1987!

Thanks for the links - looks as though they've looked after the crash site pretty well. Must be quite moving to see it still there after all these years.
