The question marks in place of non-English characters in my old notes have been replaced with the proper characters. However, Turkish characters are not recognized correctly in a new note, as in the note for this photo.

Default German Accents and Letters

It appears that neither the umlaute or eszett Ŗ are working. I upload a photograph and note and had problems with both.

Default Characters and upload

Hi
Problems with French Characters are resolved in the French pages
But TE logo is still visible
And it's impossible to upload pictures in the French section

Best regards

Hallo Didi,

Please don't open new threads but look for an already existing thread about the same item you want to discuss... That way Paul will get a mail about a new posting.

There are tests made on my note for this picture and, as you can see, they are not fixed yet...

PS: Or, dear Paul, did they re-edit my note with the "weird" signs and I will have to re-write my note?

Tech says that there is no way for the database to go back and catch all the notes that were made while the accents problem was happening -- those notes will always look that way, unfortunately.

Fortunately, the issue is now fixed for all future notes.

Hi Paul,

The photo I was talking about - http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Eur...oto1446285.htm - has been posted in December 2013, so quite a while ago, when there were no problems... But the tech team has added a lot of text, which I don't know what it means, and now I have a veeeery loooong note with weird text.

What must I do? Delete the whole text and beginning a new one?

Viviane

Hi Paul,

I understand tests have to be made but please, let the tech team make tests on their own photos...

Yes they usually do. I have no idea why they would test yours!
