Default Memory card problems

Hello to everybody...

Maybe somebody could help me about my memory card problem...
Last week I was out to take some pictures...taken 363 RAW`s and 159 JPEG`s...the memory card was full.At home when I wanted to download the pictures from the card...I could seen them all(363+159),but couldn`t download all...only the RAW files...and now I have 962MB occupied space on the memory card, which means(i think) that are the 159 JPEG`s that I couldn`t download.
What I should do,how can I download those pictures from the memory card????.The memory card is a ADATA 4GB at 266X.

If someone could help...I appreciate it...and sorry for my english.
Thank you in advance.
Lucian

If you are downloading from your camera, maybe there is something in the software or the operating system that doesn't communicate.

Try downloading it from a cardreader.
OR
If all the RAW photo's are off, maybe try a trick; shoot a few more in JPG and then try downloading them, from the camera this time, it might work . . .
OR
use a recovery program to download them from the card.

Computers are very logical machines, unfortenately, people created them. Use human logic :) I really hope it helps, losing photo's is not nice + you were smart enough not to post this question in the general forum, were members with close to a zillion points still wait for Adam to interrupt his dinner and lock the topic for the 7th time this week.

Bets wishes to 2008 to U!

Hi Lucian! You don't mention what method you used to download the photos. Have you tried using the system explorer instead of the camera/photo editing software? I mean, select the photos, copy and paste somewhere else. If you can see them, you should be able to do that, I suppose...
Your English is very clear, don't worry!
Cheers,

If any of the missing JPEGs are really valuable - don't write anything to the card. Shooting more photos into the same card is the worst thing you can do at this point.

First of all - try to download these photos using different card readers, different computer with different OS, different software.

If that doesn't help, try some recovery software. There are hundreds of programs for recovering corrupt memory cards. Some of them are free, some are quite expensive. Try at least few of them.

Finally, if some of the images lost were really "once in lifetime" - you can hire commercial data recovery company like Ontrack. But these kind of services are crazy expensive.

Hi Ines
First....let me thank you for your time...thank you

I use to download putting the memory card in the card reader...
Then i use a program(Total Commander),which show all the things you have in the computer(if you log a card reader you can see it)...and then move the photos from the MC in the computer...it`s like copy and paste.
The problem was at the time I download them...I saw them as number(363+159=card was full)..after that I couldn`t see them...only as occupied space on the MC.

Thank you again...and Happy New Year

Lucian
