Great haijekov 2007-01-20 15:11

beautiful shot!!! actually its beauty is unreal ...
how high off where you?? or are the clouds actually that low??
great work with the colours

Thank you, kov for the great comment.
The beauty of nature can be unreal. It was an incredible show from mother nature ;-)
Actually I stood on level with the ground in the distance. However I think the effect of the low clouds come from the use of my wide angle lens. I shot this photo in portrait mode, therefore the angle is very large and includes also clouds above me.

sorry if my questions are too beginner level ... i AM a beginner. but thanks so much for a very useful reply ... guess the very first thing on my next shopping list would be a wide angle lens for my camera :D

Oh, you don't have to excuse yourself. This is the way we learn and I think a wide angle lens is not commonly used in vertical mode to include a larger amount of the landscape. Have fun with your wide angle lens ;-)
