Great sheepyak 2006-12-23 0:47

Hi Dave,

I agree completely that the clouds looking like shadow puppets; the shadows were the first thing I noticed about the photo. I like the amount of sky in the photo, but I think a lower POV, looking up from the wildflowers, could have made the foreground more interesting; it could be an good experiment to play with the DOF. It sounds like you took a lot of pictures that day, so maybe you already tried that, but it's just an idea. The colors are great, with the yellow and green of the earth contrasting nicely with the blue sky. TFS,

Thanks for your comments. Yes, I almost posted one of the photos of the clouds and hills with wildflowers in the foreground, I might do that later. But I didn't play with the DOF with the flowers in the foreground, which I can see now would have been better. That's one of the things I've learned from TE. I just started playing with the DOF (and exposure/lighting) the past month, up til then I just shot with the automatic setting.
