Great PixelTerror 2006-07-15 4:34

Hi Steve,
Do I see here the comeback of a TE oldtimer ? It's been a while...
So you've been travelling I see... a destination that was on my wish list and still is, though I doubt I will ever have the opportunity to go. As we can see it offers wonderful nature and must be a heaven for mountainous landscapes photographers, I like this snaking glacier, on the top it looks a bit like highlights were challenging.
I wish you a nice week end,
Jean-Yves

Hi Jean-Yves,

How remarkable your portfolio is these days! An absolute credit!

Thank-you for your kind note. It reminds me of one of the reasons I used to hang out on TE, not just for the beautiful images and locations, but for the human element as well!

Yes indeed, some might say far too long since I roamed these pages. Unfortunately my time is taken up with much work in order to visit such beautiful places around this planet. And if this wasn't enough, I am now 1 year through a geography degree at University which takes even more precious time. So now I am on summer holidays as such, and can afford a little time to revisit these pages.

As with so many other aspects of life, I hope to have more time to spend here in future.

I wish you the opportunity to travel to the (few) remaining countries you have not visited, such as NZ.

All the best, and kind regards,

Steve

Thanks Steve !
I share your view, the human element is a key factor that keeps me active here, and I added in my profile a list of all members I have met personally, I saw other members as well have begun to set up such lists. Each time I had great fun meeting interesting persons and shooting some photos with them. Of course here in Europe distance makes it a lot easier to meet than in the US, but funnily I travelled all the way to Japan to meet Norbert who here in Europe lives 250 kms away from me... OK it was just a coincidence that we decided to visit this fascinating country at the same time !
I wish you a nice holiday and success in your studies, I guess it won't suprise you very much if I tell you I always enjoyed geography too ;-)
