Good pamastro 2004-05-02 2:12

These look like very nice ruins. I like the stone and the green grass mixing nicely here. The composition is nice, too, with the tower rising very powerfully in front of the great hills in the back. It all seems a bit soft, however. And the colors a bit too muted, perhaps. I did a small workshop on those. But still, nicely photographed. Very nice ruin.

Thanks for the workshop. I agree that the picture was soft. For some reason this picture posted with a much softer look than the original. Maybe I need to sharpen pics after decreasing the image size. The workshop you did turned out nicely.

I'm glad you liked it. You should try sharpening after decreasing the size. That's usually the last thing I do after any touching up and resizing. And if it really needs extra sharpening I'll sharpen the large image and after re-sizing I will use an unsharp mask. But if all your photos are like this then simply sharpening at the end should be fine.
