A great portrait and great daily life photo. The colours and pattern on their clothes make this photo very powerfull.
You can improve the lightning with a fill flash, and for a balance lightning between both of person's face, i would tilt the flash and add a reflector at right side, or use a diffuser.

Amri, thanks for the advice. I shoot with a small camera with no external flash so I never have the chance to change the angle of the flash. Even considering I did, you'd kind of eliminate the chances of you getting a second shot if you blinded the poor old ladies on the first try. Still, thanks for the advice. its true, even a little fill would have improved the picture.
