Great simonekarl 2005-10-28 7:47

I've heard about Calico Rock.
Amazing stuff Jalapeno jelly (that's jam I guess..) what do you do with it, spread in bread, or use as a sauce on the side..
Obviously you're keeping this one as a souvenior right?

I like the composition with the backlighting through the jar, it really brings out the greeen. The lack of lighting as produced a nice graduation from dark green to light green, i like it.
What about the bloke in the jar, the one with his arm poking out over the label, are you going to let him out? Seems like he's itching to take some photographs.. : )
A presto David.

Default To simonekarl: a favorite snack

Simone,
GPJ is used as a condiment with cheese and crackers. You can use any cheese you like even cream cheese. One of my favorite snacks. If I could only get my wife to make me some since it is hard to find on the store shelf.

Yes the Calico Rock jar is destined to be a souvenior forever. It makes me wonder how long the contents will still be edible. Somehow I don't think green pepper jelly is like wine in this regard; only gets better with age.

The bloke in the jar does enjoy taking pictures. He likes his new compact Nikon Coolpix S2, but is finding its limitations quite confining. When my budget allows I'll have to consider an upgrade.

I saw where you are an Anglo-Italian living and working in Rome Italy. My dad served with the 10th Mountain Division in Italy in WWII. He is 81 now soon to be 82 and still goes snow skiing every year.

Cheers!
