Great Leonie 2005-03-18 6:01

Hola Quino...another fascinating mountain of the Pyréné it very difficult to climb on it? Can you do it without a guide if you are just an amateur hiker?? I'd love to...but my equipment is scarce..

Have a nice day.. Léonie

Default To Leonie: Vignemale...

Yes, it's easy... is just walking until the glacier. It's a refugee called Baysellance before, and you need a good boots for the snow (gore-tex and that's it) and probably the piolet. Just the last part is a easy easy climbing. My father with 60 years reached the top and he doesn't like climbing!! so.. yes, it's easy. If you are trained for that, you can do in the same day all the peaks that you have in the pic, 6 or 7 up to 3000m. It's really amazing.
