Great Mondaychild 2013-03-10 9:46

Hello Konrad,

interesting POV! I´ve seen quite a lot of photos (not only on TrekEarth) depicting Spissky Hrad - and they all look the same (as far as I remember ... there hasn´t ever been anything spectacular).

This one, however, is quite different. It´s not taken from somewhere beyond the castle, but from the same level. And from the distance.

I always thought that this castle would be standing somewhere in the middle of nowhere, but in your picture we can see that this is not true. There´s a nice little town beyond it. And there is also the view to snow-covered mountains (in the background). What are they called?

The trees in the foreground are a good structuring element. I also like the fact that you didn´t center the castle. In my opinion it´s however a little bit to close to the right edge of the photo.

All in all a very well executed, and most of all very "enlightening" photo. I learned a lot.

Thanks for sharing!
Gisi

Thanks for voting. Mountain in background is Tatra - highest part of Carpathians.
