Default My photograph used from Trekearth without permission

One of my photographs posted on trekearth @

is used in a newspaper Dec 13th edition, page number 9 without my permission. What are the copyright clauses of trekearth? Doesn't it say anywhere that the photographs are photographer's copyright and can be used only after taking explicit permissions from them?

Please suggest.

Unhappy Copyright

Hello Durba - Unfortunately many people posting on TE (and other websites) find that their copyright has been violated. This is one of the downsides of posting images on the web. All you can do is write and complain to the newspaper in question and bring the matter to their attention.

Hi Durba,
It does mention somewhere in the rules that the photographs are the sole property of their photographers. But I doubt the robbers would go and read that rule :-((
However, you may have noticed that some members express their copyright in the note of each photo and in their intro.
Perhaps it helps ? -
Also, the photos having been reduced to 800 pix max are probably more difficult to use with good quality, whereas, with the permission of the photographer, they may get the original pic.
Best regards.
