Great bakes888 2009-11-02 22:45

Hi Steve.
I see the old Minolta lens is still producing the goods. Excellent capture, good sharpness and detail. You even have a sparkle in his eye. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.

Default To bakes888: old minolta lenses

Hi Paul, I notice that Sony have reincarnated that lens, which looks to be identical in all respects - except the branding. It is a somewhat limited lens - fixed f8 and strange bokeh (I removed one example on this image) but very sharp, no CA, compact and light. cheers, steve

I ended up with the Sigma 400APO. Not sure how it compare optically but it sure is much larger and heavier ;-(.
Cheers, Paul.
