Default To danos: Thanks, Danos

Actually this treatment has been developed in the US and Israel; it activates the immune system rather than suppressing it like most cancer therapies. It had good results with clinical trials in the US (30% of patients with a predicted life expectancy of less than 3 months are still alive today) but approval will undoubtedly be years away. Dr, Har-Noy is working with the head of the National Cancer Institute in Thailand in a clinical trial in Thailand where clinical trial costs are less expensive and also providing an expanded clinical access trial for patients outside the clinical trial. Most of the people in our group were from the US but one fellow was from Denmark. Only time will tell whether it was effective.

Thailand has invested heavily in providing the standards one would expect in any good hospital in the world. Thanks for your comments and concern.
HLJ, Pat
