To macjake: Thanks for your Feedback
Thank you very much for your feedback. I intentionally left the sky visible to give a sense of location of being in the canyon. What I didn't pay enough attention to is how white and overblown it...

That would be fantastic. What part of NYC do you live in? There is a possibility of us going this year to the US Open in August again.

See if this makes sense. Do you use photoshop? You need photoshop to use the Nik software.

Re: To melmcree: DOF
I see what you mean. I have heard several discussions on TE about how the smaller the aperture the less sharpness you actually get. I always thought that if f/2.8 was a small depth of field that...

To sothy81: Mark 3
My wife almost died when you let the cat out of the bag about how much the 40D cost. I think she would leave me if she knew what a mark 3 was. I think I'll be sticking to this can for a while!

Re: To melmcree: I agree
When exactly is the blue hour? I've heard of the golden hour but recently all I hear about is the "blue hour" and I think I want to try that time of day out.
Btw, I like the original view versus...

What makes Canon better than Nikon? Is there really much of a difference when it comes to the output?

Re: To melmcree: Workshop Nix 3.o.
I wouldn't say it is better but that software lets you do lots of fun things that are usually done with filters on the camera. I accidentally spelled it Nix but it is Nik Color Efex 3.0. I am using...

Re: To melmcree: hi
Thanks for the birthday wishes. Is there good trout fishing in UK? I really love to fly-fish but didn't know much about the fishing over there.

Re: To melmcree: 17-40 L
Can you tell a difference in image quality from your other camera? They claim the image sensor is better but it makes me wonder if the human eye can see the difference. I finally got to touch it...

Re: To melmcree: Mel
The only pic that worked out was the one of you with your camera. The other 2 didn't have a good focal point or enough dof. I'm working on a panorama that I did but so far its coming out poorly.

Your message says you would prefer the focus to be on the right girls eyes but I think it is. Do you mean our right or their right.

I can see where you get that and I can agree that it doesn't call attention to itself as the focus but I do find myself concentrating on it being that it is in the middle. I guess that is why...

Re: To melmcree: no problem
What is going on this weekend that makes it the biggest job of the year? Do you work for an agency and they tell you where to go or is it all independent contract work?
