To cgrindahl: Your calculations are accurate :)

Thank U for the detailed note, this is the cheapest solution for increasing the focal length of the lens (and the lighter one...) and it is not bad at all (I think).

Thanks, Elroyie

Canon...

To PechePassion: The flash is to see the moon better :-)))

The flash is for the leaves. Those soft green colours around the moon are very close leaves of a tree.

To mitternacht: This is the right exposure time

Because that the moon is very bright you should use a short exposure, this is the reason that I used flash to show the leaves around, if I wasn't using the flash the whole frame around the moon was...

To ephemere33: Thanks for the critique

This effect is created by the shallow DOF so the sparkles of light that were in the background became blured.

To cgrindahl: I don't have it :-( yet . . .

I need to do some calculations because it is very expensive lens, but it is very good and it is a good answer for my needs.
Here in Israel it costs three times the price in USA!!!
Tough decision ....

To yesterday: I have an excuse :-)

You can see it on the thumbnail, I wanted to create a symetry between the red colours in the top and the bottom of the frame, so that is the reason that I didn't go on the thirds compo.

Thank U...

To ChrisJ: This was my widest angle

I know that this is no excuse but it is a fact, this is the full frame, I know that I should compose differently, I was locked to catch the whole boat in the frame.

Re: To elroyie: ready_to_go

Hi Ishai

To cgrindahl: About the polarizer

First, thank U for the critique.

The polarizer helps in a few ways:
1. With reflections, it can cancel them or sharpen them.
2. Blue sky, the most effective is 90 deg. from the sun.
3. It can...

To cgrindahl: Yes, you are right

I also tried to get the whole scene, but this was my widest lens that I use to carry, it is 20 mm (32 mm on the Drebel), it is also disturbing me a little that I didn't catch it all, I uploaded this...
