To France: Gallery

France,
Yes, I know I have a limit because my camera is not very good. But unfortunately, I am not in a position to get a new one for awhile. Thank you for your compliments.

To Olof: Santorini photo

Olaf,

I took this photo 5 years ago, back when I didn't know that a 400 kb picture would not look great when printing or even viewing onscreen. Since then, I shoot at the maximum size that my...

To Emiel_Skyfreak: Santorini workshop

Emiel,

Thank you for your workshop and for your detailed description of changes you made. I have a lot to learn about post processing photos, since I don't even understand a few of the terms in...

To mirko_ninkovic: Santorini workshop

Yes, I like what you did to reduce the noise. I just got Photoshop Elements a couple days ago and this is only the second photo I have tried to improve. I have not yet found the Neatimage noise...

To AROBN54: lantern workshop

Shelly,
Absolutely not offended! Learning about making better photos, whether while shooting them or post processing, is much of what TE is about.
The sharpening function is something I just plain...

To mezz: steeple

I agree it's too centered. I like the sun on the barn on the right, so I think I would have had better luck cropping out part of the trees on teh left. I'll give that a try and see if it looks...

Vincent,
I looked at your TE photos and see some of your beautiful cloud photos. Wonderful! They give me ideas on how I could have improved this shot.

Chelsea,
Thanks for your comments. Yes, I almost posted one of the photos of the clouds and hills with wildflowers in the foreground, I might do that later. But I didn't play with the DOF with the...

To Mondaychild: grave

Yes, I also thought this was a very recent burial, but I wasn't certain--maybe a birthday or other special remembrance day. No, the photo isn't scanned, maybe I just need a better camera

To adnan: filter

No, I don't have a filter, my camera's not good enough to be possible to use one. I tried to make the picture a bit sharper by increasing the contrast, but don't have the sharpen editing capability...

To dmarizz: Toothed wheel

Dario,
Yes, toothed wheel is a good phrase to call it.
Unfortunately, I cut off the bottom of the toothed wheel in the original photo, which made me decide to crop at the top and left (plus there...

To dmarizz: Av-Tv

Dario,
Thank you for your comments. I am still very much an amateur and usually shoot in the Auto mode, so I will have to learn and start experimenting with choosing the F-stop and shutter speed....

To superpau: Salzburg Fortress

Paula,
Yes, you're right, I zoomed in on this scene from the fortress. I also took a wide angle shot with the snow-covered mountains in the background, which makes for a nice scene too.

To diegosamy: From the tower...

I took the photo from the top of the tower, the same tall tower that you see as a shadow in the picture.
