Another great shot there Dougie and having trudged through the bog during the day I know what its like trying to work out a route back... just not when its dark! Anyway, the lighting on this is great, especially the golden shades on the loch!

I agree about the tree, but at the same time I know its not always possible to eliminate it at the time - certain pictures are a case of "grab them while you get the chance!"

I don't think the detail on the other side is too bad. I really like the reflection of the buildings as well as the rainbow!

Loch Lomond is one of the more beautiful lochs in Scotland with all those islands... I think this picture would have benifitted from being a panorama to include more of the loch itself and the hills to the left!

I think its a she... its to do with the way the horns point - up for male, forward for female (just don't quote me!) Anyway, she does look like she is watching you and questioning why you are there!

I like this B&W shot of the Highlands with the road disappearing to who knows what! I like the Highlands for the reasons you state in your note... the fact you can travel for miles and not see another soul!

Are you aware that the poles at the side of the road are so the man driving the snow plough knows what way the road goes?

Welcome to TE David and what a nice start you have made! I also like the colours in this photo and the moody atmosphere created by the sky! However, I might have cropped off some of the field at the bottom!
