The image of this man is so clear and detailed, but the sand in the air of the background almost has the effect of a filter. It's very interesting to me as someone who has never been in a sandstorm. I also find it startling that the man looks so calm.

I really like all the detail. I feel like I could spend a lot of time looking at this picture and all the elements, the doors, the wires, the painted details. And I wonder what is worrying the man, why he is biting his nails. Is he nervous about being photographed? I sense a story to be told.

Hello. This photo is very interesting to me. Usually when you see a foreground in focus and a blurred background, it's the structure that is focused and the natural world that is blurred. This is a very different take. The sharp red leaves are beautiful against all the neutral colors, but it does make me want to get a better view of the building (temple?) -Julie

This is a stunning portrait, with beautiful detail in the fabric and the skin and eyes, but also with a certain simplicity. I like the uniformity of tone, and the blurred bit of background. The photo makes me want to know what this man was thinking about.
