This looks like it could be an interesting place to visit, but the photo is lacking interesting foreground elements, and by placing the horizon in the middle of the shot the frame is cut in half. I would have had the monotonous blue sky taking up no more than the top third of the photo, and included more of the tree at the bottom to add visual interest.

I love the colors, and now I have another thing to add to my must-see list when I visit Vanuatu later this summer. Regarding the blown highlights in the sky, it depends on the kind of camera you use. If you have an SLR, consider getting a circular polarizing filter, which will lower the exposure by a couple of stops. Alternatively, you can get a graduated neutral density (GND) filter to lower the exposure of just a part of the photo. If you don't want to invest in the rather expensive GND filters, just shoot in raw and apply a digital GND during post processing.
