Workshop Note

I used the "Straighten Tool" of Photoshop Elements 12 on a vertical line in the center. Since that tool assumes it's correcting the horizontal, one needs to rotate the image by 90 degrees afterwards.
With those post-processing programs that don't have a "Straighten Tool," one can use the edges of the rectangular selection tool to determine whether a line is vertical or not and manually rotate the photo until it is straightened.
