Distiller's Cave. Treshnish, Isle of Mull.

It's not marked on the maps, and there's not much of a path to it, but if you clamber down the steep grassy slope towards the sea you can find this old distiller's cave.
There's not much to see nowadays, just a few rusty pipes and a big hole where the still would have been, but in it's day this was a fully functioning whisky distillery.
It was completely illegal of course, hence the great efforts to which the distillers went to conceal their activities. From the sea, it would just have looked like another of the many caves dotted along this stretch of coastline.
The lengths people will go to to get a drink...
