Several legends are told about the place, and it is a custom to throw a penny into the water. The fairies will collect the coins…
Another myth is about two women fought around this ground’s, and water from river Saligachan brought by the daughter of the one defeated, made her regain an “eternal beauty”, … the water are ice cold.

The view of red Cuillin mountains ridge is on the far side background. On the WS is the perfect cone shape of the Glamaig mountain, rising to the east of the bridge.
