Photographer's Note

A wider view, and my last for this trip, of the beautiful and impressive town, built on terraces and with the remaining 11 towers in San-Gimignano.
Once at it's best times there were more than 70 towers.
Legends have many versions of the origin about those towers: The one I believe is real tells as it was a Textile power-house town in the medieval ages, the towers used for hanging long painted fabrics to dry before shipment, and prosperity brought a numerous towers built.
Could not avoid the wires on lower part, thus it is a sign of modern life in the medieval town.
