Photographer's Note

The most notable edifice in thePiazza-dei-Miracoli, right near the Torre-Pendente is
the Duomo, the medieval Cathedral, entitled to Santa Maria Assunta.
A grey-marble façade, and white stones built by the master-mason Rainaldo, begun on
1064, and destroyed on a fire in 1595, than restored with new bronze-doors.

The place is always under tumult and crowded with tourists, never a dull moment there…

Location in Piazza-dei-Miracoli: 43.723, 10.395
