Iran The Great by Klaudio Branko Dadich (27926) 2014-10-06 - 2014-10-24
We have a responsibility on coming back home to give an objective profile of the places we visit. I could select photos of rural Iran, of shepherds, of field hands, of people riding donkeys, of mud brick villages, of women covered in chadors, of wandering camels over dry riverbeds... To do so would be to impoverish the idea of what Iran is and of how modern, vibrant and rich in culture and history it really is and how friendly and welcoming the people are towards strangers. ... Pilgrimage to Mashhad by Akbar Shafiee (555) 2006-08-18 - 2006-08-24
Travelling to Mashhad by car and passing so many other cities.Mashhad is the most important religious city for Iranians, as the holy shrine of the 8th Shi'itte Muslim leader, Imam Reza, is located there. Located in the north-east of Iran, we had to cross Semnan, Damghan, Shahrood, Sabzevar & Neishabour to reach this holy city and I took so many photos from whatever I confronted in these cities. On the way back, we chose the northern path that crossed Bojnourd, Gorgan & Gonbad. Here, I'm going to upload only some the photos taken in this trip. We passed 6 provinces in this trip. (18 photos)

Iran:There & Back Again- via Turkey by Hanna Wanda (667) 2006-08-15 - 2006-09-09
I really dreamt about visiting Iran - far away, fascinating and mysterious country.
Went there this summer - our plan was to fly to Istanbul and from there take a bus to Iran, stopping once only in Dogubeyazit, at the very edge of the Eastern Turkey. As it usually is, the plan didn't really work out (fortunately) and we ended up spending some fantastic time in Turkey as well. (10 photos)
IRAN: land, city, and people by Benyamin Lakitan (1311) 2006-05-09 - 2006-05-11
Coming from a tropical rain forest country of Indonesia, Iran is really enriching my experience with its dry climate, less vegetation, but very friendly people. Economically, water may be as valuable as oil in this country. My visit was very short. I wish I could stay longer in this part of the world. (9 photos)
North Road to Mashhad by Reza Babri (422) 2006-03-10 - 2006-03-13
Iran is a four-season land! In that 4-day trip from Tehran to Mashhad, we saw the highest mountain of Iran; crossed through first national park of the country; watched green mountains of Mazandaran; experienced two snowy passes and finally entered Imam Reza's shrine (with the most integrated Islamic architecture in Iran). ... Toward Ardebil by Shahab Faghihi (726) 2006-02-22 - 2006-02-28
My uncle died on saturday 18th of February.
We had a funural in Tehran and payed respect to him by gatherin over his grave and setting flower on his grave stone. But there is going to be another ceremony to respect his soul in his home town, Ardebil.
So we're moving toward there. My point is not to show the ceremony to you guys but the city & the way we are passing to reach Ardebil.
The plan is : First driving to Anzali, staying there at night & then, the next morning, head to Ardebil.
Hope you like my shots from Ardebil. (5 photos)
