Fall in Europe - October 2011 by Kaj Nordstrom (2442) 2011-10-14 - 2011-10-29
After long hesitating I decided to go on a journey in October. Starting with three days in Berlin, I continued via Nürnberg, Salzburg, Innsbruck and Verona to Viareggio at the Mediterranean Sea.
Along the Italian Riviera to Sanremo, into France and via Côte d'Azur to Marseille. Then just north of Camargue to Montpellier and up "La Méridienne" A75/E11 to Clermont-Ferrand, into Switzerland and Lausanne at Lac Léman.
Finally one stop in Stuttgart and one in Hannover brought me home to Lund in Sweden, after yet another amazing journey... (6 photos)

Christmas vacation Germany 2006 by Nel Diepstraten (1874) 2006-12-22 - 2006-12-27
We had a 5-days holdiday in Germany in the area that's called the Eifel. The Eifel is a low mountain range in western Germany. The Eifel is bordered by the Moselle River in the south and the Rhine in the east. In the north it is continued by the hills of the High Venn (Hohes Venn), in the west by the Ardennes.
We didn' t have snow that Christmas, but there was a lot of frost, so we did have a white Christmas after all. In these 5 days we made some nice walks and we visited the Eifel Zoo. And these are some of the pictures we made there. (7 photos)
BERLIN CITY by Sergio Roger (330) 2007-06-29 - 2007-07-01
In this travel we visited the incredible city of Berlin, probably one of the most interesting cities in Europe. You can find historic places, architecture and people in a city that have rised from its ashes after the 2nd world war. Berlin is a good example of an open, modern and tolerant european city.
I´m shure I´ll travel to Berlin again soon... (3 photos)
Hanseatic cities in Germany by Clemente Perez (2196) 2007-08-07 - 2007-08-15
The Hanseatic League was a league of merchants within the cities of North Germany and the Baltic and North Sea, between the 13th and 17th centuries
About 200 cities were somewhen member of the Hansa
Today those cities are today placed in several countries.
Still today nine cities in Germany have in the official name a reference to Hansa. Among them Bremen, Hamburg and Rostock which I visited.
I had no time to visit many other cities that I wanted also to see, like Lübeck. Maybe next time.
Hansa was a union of merchants and their richness is visible in the monuments of these cities ... (full story) (25 photos)
Backpacking through Europe by Alan Calavera (323) 2007-05-30 - 2007-07-19
This summer I was lucky enough to be selected for a job in England. Once I found out about it I invited two of my friends to go backpacking with me beforehand through Ireland, Belgium, Holland, Germany, and Italy. It was our first time abroad - we learned so much by meeting so many people and seeing so many places. (6 photos)
