I have been living near Lille, in the north of France, since I was born in 1952. I have been practising photography since the Seventies. My equipment was successively: Kodak Instamatic 155X (1973), Canon FTb QL (1976), Nikon FM (1979), Nikon EM (1981), FujiFilm S5500 (2005), Nikon D80 (2006). My equipment is now as following: • Nikon D300 + MB-D10 Battery Grip • Zoom Tokina AT-X 124 AF PRO DX 12-24 mm f/4 • Zoom Nikkor AF-S DX 17-55 mm f/2.8G ED-IF • Zoom Nikkor AF-S 70-200 f/2.8G • Teleconverter Nikkor AF-S TC17E II • Nikkor Ai-S 50 mm f/1.2 • Benro C258n carbon tripod + Benro KJ-1 ball head Sometime, when I want to travel "light", I use my D300 without battery grip and with : • Zoom Nikkor AF-S VR DX 18-200 mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED Here are my best shots among those you rank as favourite, and my Top18 from: • Madagascar • Bolivia • Chile • Southern Africa • Nord/Artois/Picardie (France) • Paris by night • Lille I comment or criticize only photos accompanied with detailed notes. I award points only to active members, criticizing the pictures of the community or taking part to forums. I boycott all pseudo-members who are using exclusively TrekEarth like a springboard towards their personal sites, especially those with commercial vocation. I visit often the Welcome gallery in search of new talents. I visit systematically the gallery of members who have spent time to criticize my shots.
