I am 35 years old, i am a greek journalist (editor in chief for the travel magazine "Traveller's ICONS) and an amateur photographer (started taking photos on March 2005) . I'm very proud to be a member of the TrekEarth family.I' looking forward for your comments and advice. Hola a todos! Tengo 35 anos, soy un periodista griego (redactor jefe de la revista de viajes "Traveller's ICONS) y fotografo aficionado (empece a sacar fotos el Marzo de 2005). Estoy muy orgulloso de pertenecer a la familia de Trekearth. Espero sus comentarios y consejos ***UPDATE 8/2/2008*** Yesterday I decided to quit from the travel magazine "Traveller's Icons", where I worked as editor in chief for the last 3 years. I didn't agree with its turn towards a more "lifestyle" and "luxurious" style. I always believed that travelling is not about consuming, but about dreaming, learning and self-learning. A new thing is about to begin, something "bigger", but most important, closer to what I really like. Meanwhile, I feel happy about this new beginning, but also very sad, because an important period of my life, has ended. I was in "Traveller's Icons" since its first day, since the first edition, in difficult conditions, I watched it grow and becoming one of the most important travel magazines in Greece, and i feel a little bit melancholic, leaving 3 years of my life, behind. ***UPDATE 14/4/2008*** Now I am ready to tell you about my new job. After 3 years as editor in chief in the travel magazine "Traveller's Icons", a new effort is ready to go public. The first edition of a new magazine, will be on the kiosks next Saturday (19/4/2008) as a suplement of the greek national newspaper "Ethnos". Its name is "EXPLORE NATURE" and one of the stories that you could see there is about Kastoria. I have already uploades some photos about this reportage in TE. The cover of the 1st edition of "EXPLORE NATURE" where I work as editor in chief, is the cropped vertical version of a photo from Mesolonghi that I have already uploaded in TE ( Lonely gaita ). A small boat for a new journey. MY THEMES: My portraits , Music and dance, Boats and ships, Please, have a seat!, Religions, Sunsets and sunrises, Greek nights, ***My B&Ws***, LAKES AND LAGOONS OF GREECE, BRIDGES OF GREECE, CHURCHES AND MONASTERIES OF GREECE, Boats and ships (part 2) NEWLY ADDED THEMEs: "Old" Greeks Best beaches of Crete TWO THEMES THAT COULD BE A GOOD QUICK INTRODUCTION TO MY GALLERY: ***YOUR FAVOURITES (BY 3 TE MEMBERS AT LEAST)*** At first, I had gathered here my photos that we were chosen as favourites by at least 2 members. When they reached the 100, I thought about creating a "Pt 2" theme, but then again it wouldn't serve the purpose of a fast introduction to my gallery. So I kept only the photos that are favorites of 3 members or more (69 so far). There are 160 more photos chosen as favorites by 1 or 2 members, a total of 229 favorites. Thank you all for this great honour! ***54 MOST VOTED PHOTOS*** These are not necesarily my best photos, but they are my most "popular"-voted ones.
