Photographer’s Note
Anyone from Brisbane will be familiar with the Story Bridge - an amazing piece of architecture which is well lit up and looks especially good by night. On this night, I used took my tripod out with me and set it up on the foot path to the side and tried to capture some of the energy on the bridge.
Some extra sharpening, colour and lighting work in PS afterwards.

I have been think for quite a long time about some night shots around the Brisbane river, but living in Redcliffe makes me ... lazy!!!
It is a very nice shot but I believe that a f9 or over and a slower speed would really make a very good photo.
By the way, when can we organise a TE meeting in Brisbane?

David,
Beautiful night shot, I like the ambiant, the way the light illuminated the atmosphere. Most part of the structure/bridge still have great sharpness and details. Colors are well maintained with rich tone. The glow of the city light cleary visible. Good composition. Well done. Congratulations!

Hi Dave,
Very good night shot, you've captured the atmosphere perfectly. I like your framing and composition, lots of good detail to look at and absorb, in fact I've found myself staring at this for a good five minutes, just enjoying your shot.
cheers

Hi Dave, you have chosen an excellent POV for this finely done night shot, perspective is attractive and the long exposure effect on the partially hidden cars is a nice bonus, well done, compliments!!!
have a nice day,
Fabio.

Hello David
A nice point of view of Brisbane's iconic bridge. The lighting and photoshop have transformed the original colour. The detail of its construction is so sharp - always reminds me of meccano (sorry before your time). TFS, Marlene

A very beautiful bridge shot from a great angle. I like the motion of the busy traffic, and the lighting. TFS and have a happy day!

You captured quite a lot of detail and depth despite only using f2.8. Was it windy? if not you would have done better still with a wider DOF. Certainly the perspective composition works very well.

Hi Dave,
I wonder why the side of the bride close to the bridge is out of focus, may be the aperture. But since you had the tripod, you could gone for a longer shutter speed and higher f-stop. Just a thought.

Hi Dave. Well composed shot. The mist in the air has added a nice atmosphere to the shot. You have handled the light well also. Thanks for sharing.
Have a good week, Paul.

Hello David
A similar type of bridge with rivets is there in my hometown, Kolkata as well. Long exposure works well with the lights of the moving cars. The perspective is good & well thought of. Like the lights on the bridge, they're well exposed. good work!
