Photographer's Note

here is an illustration of the opposite of what we popularly know as 'bad hair day': "a day when one's hair seems unmanageable; often then developing into a day when everything seems to go wrong, and one becomes increasingly irritable" ( definition).

the model demonstrating her new hair-style is a young wild horse (in the US known as mustang) enjoying the result of her jolly roll in cotopaxi highland paramo's moss. hope you enjoy the fruits of her efforts too :)

-- free 1: a lone wild horse (not the one from today's post) strolling towards cotopaxi
-- free 2: the same character (as in 'free 1') showing off
-- you coming?: a group of horses; the subject of today's post belongs to the same group.
friday yoga class: as captured by avene

general information: larger and smaller herds of wild horses roam the paramo in cotopaxi national park. if feeling safe in their numbers they seem not to mind human presence, but smaller groups tend to keep their distance.
