[Notas - Normas] Nota do Artista
The Cathedral (Dom) of Trier precincts still enclose a large and well preserved part of the ancient Roman building, dating from the 4th century. Even at this early date - building had begun in 326 - the enormous and impressive structure was built as a full-scale Cathedral with its foundations on the site of a former palace of the Constantine period.
Towards the end of the 4th century, gates led into a cloistered courtyard (which you see here) and further on, into a three-naved Basilica roughly the size of the present-day Romanesque west-facade, and finally into the rectangular central building, dating from about 380 A.D. Its ancient masonry of red sandstone, interspersed with layers of bricks is still clearly identifiable in the Cathedral's north and south walls. Destroyed and rebuilt, modified and enlarged all the time, the Cathedral was repaired and secured from 1964 to 1974, and thus completely overhauled after the destructions of World War II.

Lovely symmetrical shot. The only thing that distract me in this shot is the virtual roof line to the end of the hall is not perfectly straight down in the middle. It ruins the perfect symmetry just a bit. The image is still very enjoyable.

Nice photo Hans - I like the composition and the pattern of light on the floor, which is well captured.

Hans
Nice repetitive roof and the symmetry is good too
There is something about it not straight as thein noticed but I don’t find it so disturbing
I like the shadows in this composition too
Well seen and captured
I liked the roof a bit too much so I decided to crop it out in a WS
I hope you like it and don’t mind

Hi Hans!
Excellent setting of light offered by these rays of light through the arches. the clarity is great too (texture and reliefs from the vaults). Your framing and POV gives a superb depth and symmetry. Very rich notes about the architecture of this cathedral and its history. Well Done, Hans.

Over perfecte symetrie gesproken Hans, deze foto is zo mooi, bijzonder zoals Hendrik reeds aanhaald, de zon heeft hier eens dubbel haar werk gedaan, alles zo klaar en scherp! Proficiat!

Congratulation,Hans!
EXCELLENT,you did great,I like it alot.what can I say?with some simple words?let me say again only:"Congratulation"!

Yours,Mohammad

I like the symmetry here, Hans!
Great depth, light and colours.
Beautiful architecture.
Very well composed.
Great work!

Excellent perspective, great color, good light.

Endroit propice au receuillement de beaux détail un bel angle de prise de vue. Bravo beau travail.Amitié.

Very rhythmic composition with the repetition of the arches rippling across the top and the bright patterns across the side. I like the long slender crop which accentuates the height of the Gothic arches. You have taken good advantage of the light to capture the arches on the right. Just beautiful!

Very nice perspective. You did well in cropping tight on the right, as one often gets a "burn" sky outdoor in such a place.

Nice symmetry. Many lines. I'm most impressed with how well you managed to light the ceiling. I'm afraid all I would have gotten would have been rather dark. Great capture!

I like this one a lot, Hans. Fantastic perspective and depth, with those very nice shadows on the ground. Really an excellent composition!

Very well structure, nice photographed.
Nice picture.
Congratulations.
