Photographer’s Note
Buddy the border collie-mix is employed keeping this pond geese free. There are two medium sized ponds used for snow making at this small ski resort and due to global warming the Canadian Geese have shortened their migration path in many cases they will stay on a pond like this all season long causing water pollution from their toxic waste.
Border collies have been used to harass the geese so they move north for the summer. A chocolate lab and a yellow lab have joined Buddy for a refreshing autumn dip.

Tom,
Love the POV of this shot.
Happy dogs doing the very important job of chasing all those pesky geese.
I'm sure if there were any squirrels the dogs would make sure to chase them away as well!
My little guy has been very busy chasing around leaves that are being blown around in this windy weather.

Your photo captures the quintessential nature of dogs. I have said this before in my critiques that I consider dogs to be the "fun loving slobs of the universe". They are a laugh a minute (they always laugh at us) and mayhem and chaos is their "motis apparandi". I am a cat owner (servant) and they wouldn't be caught dead in the water. Excellent photography and great capture of these fun loving clowns!

I like this shot a lot. The cat tails provide a great frame for the enthusisatic pup. The other dogs provide interesat but Buddfy is the real star here.

Dogs rule! Anytime a lab or lab mix can get into the water the more fun they have. And, if they can chase off geese it's even double fun for them. Great image.
