This modern barn located just north of Pawlett, Vt. dominates the landscape of the beautiful Metawee Valley. From Dorset, Vt. to Poultney, Vt. This narrow valley hugs the narrow shores of the Metawee River and past Lake St. Catherine. It is definetely off the beatean path.

Very nice lighting. Although I love the old abandoned farmyards, I also love to see these very nicely manicured farms. Thats a huge barn, very nice and in a wonderful setting. TFS

Tom,
you seem to have done the impossible here. A modern barn, that doesn't necessarily look beautiful, was transformed in this image in something attractive. The image has a painting quality. The backdrop with the autumnal colors, the geometrically shaped clouds in the sky and the soft, warm light contributes for that impression.

Hello Tom! I can see that the "festival" has started with these orange trees peaking through the green. This is a typical Vermont farm scene that I like so much. My heart always makes a bump when I drive down from the Montreal area and when I spot the first silo but also these endless seeming rolling hills ... a little bit like home for me, and it feels good to have more than one actually. Very well chosen angle for this one with the farm as your foreground and the hills in the back. Well ... thank you for bringing some VT pictures into my living room! It fills my heart with warmth. Wonderful light and color and great detail in this well-framed compo; the barn off to the side with the repeating angles of the barn and the hills is very attractive; the shaft of light illuminating the autumn color really puts the shot over tyhe top. Well done!!
