Photographer’s Note
The St Angelo fort at Kannur was built by the portuguese in their first years in India. It subsequently changed hands to the local rulers, then to Tipu Sultan and ultimately to the British. The fort's now been stripped of most of it's interiors, leaving huge vacant spaces. Not just me, even the umbrella took a liking to the long corridors.

Very nice perspective. This looks like a tranquil place and I like the setup of your shot. Im heading to Kerala in November and I hope to see some beautiful places like this.
Keep up the good work.

i like this shot and its simple yet constructed composition.. this umbrella makes the shot for a large part, at least its surreal mood;-)) nice capture!

Wonderfull idea to put an unbrella in the empty space... It gives an extra touch of colour to an otherwise nice shot!... I will keep this idea in mind!!! Thanks for posting this...

...and somewhere in this stripped fort, is someone also taking a liking to this place. So much so, he has forgotten the umbrella. That umbrella also add an idea to this fort. Even stripped, the fort could still give some protection, if not making one reminisce what was.
