Photographer’s Note
A simple composition intended to put in evidence a graphical aspect of the old town facades. My attention was drawn to those diagonals cutting through the vertical lines made by the windows frames. It makes almost an abstract image.
I also liked the repetitive element of the windows counter balanced by the iron forged lamp.

Bon, un graphisme comme ça, tu te doutes bien que je ne peux qu'aimer ;-)
Le lampadaire est parfaitement disposé dans la composition pour apporter une diversion bienvenue.
Ca m'intéresserait de savoir où c'est, j'ai cherché mais je ne trouve pas (boulevard Helvétique ?).

Et la série continue! Et je suis d'accord avec Yves, l'effet graphique est excellent. On sent même une parfaite maîtrise du sujet, avec ce jeu de diagonales et verticales dont la monotonie est cassée par ce lampadaire si bien placé dans le cadre!! Non seulement tu aimes présenter un sujet qui te plait, mais tu prends en plus plaisir à t'amuser en jouant de la créativité dans la composition et le recadrage. J'aurais pu dire ça plusieurs images plus tôt, mais ici la simplicité de la compisition souligne particulièrement la maîtrise de celle-ci à mon avis.

Très jolie composition graphique qui nous démontre un fois de plus ta grande maîtrise du sujet. Je sais que tu es parti depuis un bon moment avec ce type de cadrage "carré", mais je me demande si dans certains cas, et dans celui ci en particulier, un cadrage plus horizontal n'aurait pas été plus approprié. D'un autre côté cela fait aussi partie des limites que tu t'es données.

Hi Gal,
I'm glad you posted this one as it's not a typical 'documentaristic photo' like some others, but the one that certainly pleases those with finer tastes.
I myself am not sure in which category I'd like to fit but the fact IS that you succeded in producing something of a graphical admiration that will certainly made an impact on the viewer's eye (and taste, I hope!).

Great graphical shot. I like the tight croping concentrating on the shapes of the w buildings. The inclusion of the lamp is a nice touch that gives another point of interest and a sense of scale.

Well framed, good clear shot with wonderful textures. I like the graphic feel of your photographs. Although 3 dimensional, this shot has an almost abstract feel to it. Well seen. Well done.

great play of lines here Gal, and the lamp is placed very well on the edge! Here I think I would prefer the vertical line in the middle a bit more to the right. I guess by moving a bit to the right keeping the lamp in the same place. I think this would bring even more tension and power to this image...
