Fish and chips for lunch. Tobermory, Isle of Mull.

What could be more British than fish and chips?
Well, curry overtook fish and chips many years ago as the nation's favourite food, but that's not to say that the famous fried fish and potato snack has fallen totally from favour. As you can see here, it's still a very popular meal.
Popular with seagulls too. There was an especially large and evil-looking Greater Black-backed Gull lurking in search of leftovers. When a smaller rival, a herring gull, got too close he grabbed it by the wing, resulting in much panicked squawking from the unfortunate bird. Meanwhile, all the other gulls took advantage of the diversion to swoop down and hoover up the scraps. Greedy creatures...
