Photographer’s Note
This is again a heavily post processed picture. Thought, on this one I didn't want a such rendition. It was end of day and there was much contrast, with a white sky without clouds and structure. Moreover the picture was underexposed. As it was not really possible to get a good natural rendition, I tried a heavy PP as I still like the composition of this trees line.
PP:
PSP8:
2 x clarify, strength 4
increased saturation
2 x clarify strength 2
PS CS:
Increased midtones contrast +40 with a chromatic compensation of +20, shadows: +20/20/30px highlights: +10/10/30px
Selective color corection applied to selected parts of the picture. The greens, yellows and ground were differently processed. The overall corection was mainly +yellow -magenta -cyan in greens, -cyan -magenta in yellows, +magenta +yellow -cyan +black in reds.

Great colours and great layers of colours, very good composition and very good picture.
I can see that you did heavy PP, the edges are crispy a little bit.

Bien vu !

Heavy PP or not, it still is a beautiful bunch of colours and lines.

Yes, the colors are, ahem, very pronounced (particularly the greens) and even though I wouldn't go that far on one of my shots I have to say it does look great on your photo, Carlos. The composition of the different lines, shapes and diagonals of the fields is very well enhanced that way, and I also like the long shadows that the late afternoon sun is casting from the trees. The panoramic cropping was also a wise choice. Well done again!

i like this photo very much, and most of all i value the opportunity to learn from your perfect technique to turn a well seen regular photo into a work of art. It deserves to be included in an almanac, a travel book to Switzerland, a poster... :) congratulations!
i particularly like the geometric shapes you get with those fields and the line of trees is important to give an interesting element.

I'm not certain whether it is the colors or the gently rolling hills that most captivate me about your images Carlos. I really appreciate you including so much technical detail. I'm still finding my way in processing photos, so it helps to know how images that I find so striking got that way. The patchwork of colors and the line of trees with just a sliver of sky...all comes together nicely. Great work.

I think your choice of PP was very good! The contrasts really makes the great compo stand out, and those colours are perfect. Great work in the field and at home :o)

Another very good job done in the capture from the fields where the strong colours and the patterns and lines works well together. Very good Carlos

Bien vu!

Thanks for the "tutorial".
This is an excellent picture. Color-wise, it is so rich. Composition-wise, the many patterns are balanced. The trees are where they are ought to be in the frame. This is almost perfect. Nothing much to add.

Bien amicalement/jr

The image was well worked. The only thing I can detect more clearly are the textures which can easely be compression distortion so this is a good work.
I like the graphical image created by the different layers of colors as well the choice for a panoramic view. Good crop by erasing the sky which as you said had not much interest.

Lovely shot with nice slopes and layers of colours and vegetation. I like the lines in the shot, dividing the different layers. The end result is just marvellous.

The lines are really great. The tree line and the field lines and the curves of the land. It all creates a computer grid feel. The colors turned out nicely with your post processing and so did the contrast. Well done. With just a small addition to your title you could be in the movie and book title themes. I love your landscapes, Carlos, but this is perhaps my favourite. I was glad to read it is heavily ppd because I was feeling inadequate that I couldn't get such a slide. The colours just jump off the screen (which is a result of pp) but the composition is in your eye. Beautiful!

Your theme of field shots are amzing, Carlos. I like the layers of beautiful colors. The narrow framing works great and the diagonal path is very dynamic. Excellent shot.
