Photographer’s Note
Just a simple view today.
Whilst in Bulgaria last week I found the same PoV that I'd taken this shot from 9 years ago. Interesting to see the changes, or more to the point, how well this beatiful place has been preserved. The empty terrace of 9 years ago now the site of two pleasant cafes.

It's really interesting to compare the two pictures, Richard. It gives the impression of Bulgaria is prospering and being restored. No doubt there will be Starbucks and McDonalds there too. Ah! Well!. The composition is nicely contained in the curve of the hill and the curve of the housing. It is a nice document picture. regards kevin.

Indeed Richard we tend to go back to remarkable spots and compared to 9 years ago you found the way to put more sunny colors and fine details in the view on the town to make it really stand out, I must say that Ixus still surprises what quality it can deliver for such a small camera. Excellent TE document.
Take care

Hi Richard,
Yep it's interesting to compare both shots, the better weather combined with your better skills give the impression everything has been painted new, this pov overlooking the city roofs is great and I hope you took the time to sit down and enjoy a good (b)eer ;-)
Have a nice day,
JEan-Yves

The colours and clarity of this photo are both fantastic, Richard.
The difference between this one and the one 9 years ago is amazing.
I like the fact that we have the best of both world here - we can see in detail the the design of the house in the foreground and also get a feel of the 'town' in the background.
After browsing the Canon Ixus i gallery, I could be convinced to buy one (but not from Fortress!).
