Photographer’s Note
From November until May the Bay D'Halong is mostly very misty, covered by low hanging clouds. A nightmare for a photographer (except for B&W).
The red colors both in the little boat and from the yonk saved this picture.

I am partial to red accents in photos and this one pleases my eyes a lot: starting with the small red accent in the little boat growing into the large red sail on the right. Good detail on the big boat. Also, the foggy background is captured well IMHO.
My two points for this photo! :)

Hola Alfred.
Excellent composition with a very good point of view. Nice details with the impressive sailboat captured from behind. The sails looks like a butterfly, the misty DOF is superb and the lonely man on the small boat add scale to your wonderful shot. Colors contrast and light are good.

great PoV, good DoF expressing the size perspective. good observation on the color details.actually there is some red shades in the water too, cannot judge if it has anything to do with shadows.
