Photographer’s Note
Here you see a boat and fisherman-chapel in Saintes Marines, Brittany (Bretagne).
It is a little, but very beautiful chapel with details of boats and things used for fishery.
This is for the women who can pray for their fishermen and of course, for the "fisherman's friends".
I liked to use the boat as foreground.

Prachtig sfeervolle foto, Hans. Erg goed werk!

Nice shot Hans, the idea to use the boat to give context is very good but for me it cuts the shot a little to much in 2 and perhaps a more distant PoV could have given some room in the shot. Technically it's spot on with nice depth and detail.

Bedankt alvast.

a very nice and well comosed picture, HAns. I like the ropes and the texture of the wood. I als like the triangle shape of the house and the bluse sky. I made a WS, tried to show a different option. I hope you like it, Hans.

Very beautiful setting in scene Hans, the composition very is successful. The image is unusual and the colors are learnedly proportioned.
Very good work. Congratulations.

Brittany, Breizh, your picture shows two very Breton feature: the houses build solidly with heavy stones, and the little boat for the sea is the life of that country. Also your note is very poignant and full of truth.

It is amazing how you managed to compose it in such a charming way, Hans - to have a boat on the background of the chapel thus, without bringing the two subjects into "fight"! :-) Wonderful light and sharpness, revealing finely the wooden texture of the boat in foreground. I love the little hint of the flowers, bringing more colours to the image. Excellent capture!
