Photographer’s Note

Next to where I work in Brighton there used to be this ugly abandoned office block. This building was very neglected, all the windows had been smashed and it had grafitti all over it. It was a bit of an eye sore!

I then went on holiday and when I returned, to my surprise, I found the building looking like the photo. I beleive a group of local artists, with backing from the council, got permission to use the building as a kind of gallery. It now looks lively and colourful and some of the artwork is really good. Now instead of people walking straight past this building, they now stop and look at the artwork. I think this is a great idea and should be done more.

Tech: Cropped, levels adjusted, contrast adjusted and sharpened.
