I love italy and its espresso, stretto per me per favore!
while in montefiascone, north of Lazio (Rome region) and south of tuscany, by the bolsena lake, we stopped for a cup of coffee at the local hotel called Urbano V, named after guess what... a pope! i thought this machine expressed well the tribute i wanted to pay to italian coffee. Prego, un altro gratuito per il signore!;-))(drink's on me!).
by the way, i'll think of you drinking my espresso coffee in Rome and Montefiascone this week end since i'll have a long four-day week end...;-))

As you probably know also I looooove Italy, espresso – and all other Italian things. So, the subject is just perfect for me. I like the composition with coffee beans, empty cups etc. And the machine itself with beautiful metallic tones and nice details looks just great.
Have a great weekend in Italy... I´m lookin forward to see more Italy shots from you, Eric.

Mmmmm, delightful shot, Eric! It's spot on since I love espresso, ristretto and its 'manufacturing' technology. Love all the tech & gleam in this well composed shot. Have a very nice weekend in Roma.

Very nicely composed - I can almost smell the coffee - I like the gleaming and the smooth shapes and dials - it has a kind of retro-furturistic look (if that makes sense).
I have a couple of comments though. The first is that the bottom right corner is distracting - you could possibly have cropped to avoid this. The second is that the white balance seems out - I am assuming that the cups on top are white - but they have a severe colour cast in this shot.

Uhhhmm, vacation memeories coming forward fast - this is qiute a different motif, but nevertheless a good one, and a great note (I envy you your long weekend in Rome :o)). About the picture, I like the texture and shine + sharpness.

Anche per me, ristretto per favor! Nice one, Eric, right from the advertisement. Nice and shining. It really looks like an ad for Faema.
I like the tones in this one very much, good light, and may be the cups aren't white, but the light is soft. Love this one.

It is a simple yet interesting shot. I like the soft lighting and for coffee lovers (I am not; never drink it) this is sure a treat. Your composition is very good esp the inclusion of the table at the bottom.

Sympa la machine ! Je regrette simplement le cadrage un chouïa trop serré à gauche (le "moulin à café"). Pour le reste... c'est tout bon (et ça donne méchamment envie d'un expresso !)

Well Hello! I was staying at that very same hotel for two weeks last autumn (2006) during the Montefiascone wine-festival. It is absolutely nice little italian village. I had so relaxing time there, two weeks just sitting at the cafeteria drinking caffe latte and taking some photographs.. =) Just beautiful! =D
