Photographer’s Note
Dead or dieing elm trees unfortunately a common sight all over Denmark and many other places as well. The problem called “Dutch elm disease” and coursed by a fungous carried around by a bug.
Normally will a dead tree will be chopped down – but since this remote tree not course any danger (falling branches etc) nobody cares.
The two blurry dots actually insects – which seams to live well in the yellow rapes field and comes forward each time the sun shines. I consider cloning them away, but didn’t.
Some of these trees are turned into artworks – I will try to find some for posting.
May be I should add - it took me a long time to get the right light and yellow colour - besides I even had to bring a step ladder to get the right height - its hard work to be a photographer ;-)

Excellent opposition between the heavy sky and the yellow of the field.
The light on the tree is very nice too.
Good composition.
Well done, Jeppe !

Awesome composition and picture. You got a magnificent light here which seems to want to rise that tree from the dead. The sky/rape field proportion and opposition is great. Very well seen and rendered Jeppe!

Trés joli les differences de teintes sur cette image. L'arbre décentré se place bien dans l'image.
Les détails sont nonbreux car je pense que sur le bas a droite on peut appercevoir des éoliennes?
Bravo Jeppe.

Another beautifully simple composition from out in the rapeseed fiels, Jeppe. A striking light is shed on the barren tree, and the yellow stripe at the bottom is a fine balance for the scene. Good note, too.

On the compo,I can't say more than agree with Yves. On the subject, I'm surprised there's any left not cut down, I can't remember the last time I saw one like this in UK.

Bien vu.

You got a magnificent light here which seems to want to rise that tree from the dead Jeppe. The sky/rape field proportion and opposition is great. Excellent not too.

Dead or dieing this tree must be grateful to you because it is living (ops, I know this is not a right verb in this case) a moment of glory in all the world. A poetic swansong.

Nightmare in Elm Tree?
Another great combination with the yellow fields. It's a beautiful composition, but the sky is indeed a bit oversharpened, as Didi wrote.

Playing again with that vibrant yellow rape, Jeppe? ;-)) The shape of the dead tree on the background of the sky with that fantastic light is magnificent. Some photographers really do great job by carring ladders with them...;-P
Excellent capture!

The continuation, pretty photo is always also beautiful but with a sky much less spectacular but good idea to see the continuation of another photograph, well considering.

I wish that we had rapeseed fields in Israel, Jeppe, this amazing yellow decorates every picture in a very nice way. Amazing shot again, Jeppe, wonderful light and warm colors. Vey well done.

It's true, Jeppe, but the result counts, for this is really a very good and elementary composition: basically a rapefiels and an dead elm. Beauty lies is simplicity, you demonstrate this here. I love the details (the elm looks a bit spooky, like being ready to do some serious haunting) ann the colours indeed. Very fine job, Jeppe, congrats!

Wow, Jeppe, you keep on posting great ones, with beautiful colours. The shape of the tree is very nice and the angle is excellent.

Jeppe, I like this shot very much. The colors are very very good. Maybe a wider angle would make it more imposing? But still, this is an excellent picture.

Cet arbre mort au milieu de ce champs en couleur crée une contradiction, la mort-la vie. Bonne composition, dommage la couleur du ciel qui est terne
