Photographer’s Note
The village of Monsaraz as been conquered over the Moors in 1167, as about 89 km2 and 1000 habitants.
For along time this castle-like village as been the sentinel of the Guadiana river, watching the border with Spain.
In the Christmas time usually there are human scale figures that recreates the Nativity of Jesus scene.
In this picture we can see a few of those figures that are on there way to see the Newborn child.

Olá Daniel!
Pelas tuas fotos acho que este presépio vale bem a pena à noite.Esta ficou com uma luz e umas cores bonitas.Se tivesses tirado do outro lado da rua apahando esta porta talvez tambem ficasse boa porque a porta é bonita, mas à noite é complicado por causa dos focos. Mas gosto desta perspectiva, até dá para ver outras figuras. Imaginas que eu saí de Monsaraz sem conseguir tirar uma foto decente deste burro? Fui à sexta de manhã, dia em que o vendedor da fruta pára a camioneta mesmo junto. Como estava para demorar tive que desistir.Só tirei das outras figras.É a primeira vez que vejo nocturnas do presépio, ficam bonitas e achei curioso ver exactamente esta.

Hi Daniel!
I saw this real-size nativity on Adores's gallery, but shot in the day time! I am happy to admire it shot at night time also! It makes it really Christmasy! You have done well with the light and darkness, which is not always easy! The central subjects are sharp! The atmospherte is good!
I have added it to my theme " Crêches de Noël Nativities ". I hope you don't mind,. I think this Nativity is the most original I have ever seen.
Do you live far from Monsaraz? I would love to see the crib itself, with Mary, Joseph etc...
