Photographer’s Note
"The first burial mounds in Korea were dolmens which contained the material culture of the first millennium CE, such as bronze-ware, pottery, and other symbols of the elite of society.
The most famous tumulii in Korea, dating around 300 CE, are those left behind by the Korean Baekje, Goguryeo, Silla, and Gaya states and are clustered around ancient capital cities in modern-day Pyongyang, Seoul, Jian, and Gwangju. The Goguryeo tombs, shaped like pyramids, are famous for the well-preserved wall murals like the ones at Anak Tomb No.3 which depict the culture and artistry of the people. The base of the tomb of King Gwanggaeto is 85 meters on each side, half of the size of the Great Pyramids.[1] Goguryeo Silla tombs are most noted for the fabulous offerings that have been excavated such as delicate golden crowns and glassware and beads that probably made their way to Korea via the Silk Road."

Hi Chris.
Interesting shot. I like the notes on it. They look like old viking burial mounds.
I found the shot a little bright, so I made you a WS

Hi Chris.
The only pity is the colour in the sky. Anyway, excellent contrasts and composition.

Hi Chris,
I think I wouldn't be able to find a POV here. You made it. The chosen position with the composition: one in the middle, a half one beside it and a piece in front with a tree on the left side of the centered one is amazing. Great colors.

I do like the workshop, but I think my little gripe here isnt the brightness but the visible buildings, that sort of ruin the landscape of this shot a bit. Still, a nice interpretation of these mounds, I have a similar shot way at back of my gallery.

Hi Chris. Interesting shapes of these old grave sites, not much in the frame really but a quite striking geometric photo in which the single lone tree at the left is quite well included, too. Nice range of vivid greens in this one. Greetings from Kyoto.

Interesting shot, Chris, the tree really makes it, but I think it it too close to the frame here, I think it is so because otherwise there would be too much of the buildings seen. Maybe you could try another POV. Still, nice and unusual forms captured.
Cheers

Strange hills, but so interesting. The shapes are subtle, and could almost be mistaken for natural formations, except for their perfection. Great work to bring us these!

Hi Chris
This is a brilliant shot. The minimalist view delivers amazing impact. I like the texture that derives from the curvature of the mounds. Great composition with the off center tree and good exposure. I don't think the scene is too bright, but the workshop is good too. Very well done.

C'est très spécial Chris,
Peut-être la lumière est-elle un peu trop forte dans cette photo où un ciel un rien plus contrasté eut été superbe.
Belles courbes, montagnes miniatures vert tendre.
Le présence de cet arbre à gauche est un plus.
Excellent cadrage.
Best regards.
Daniel.

Hi Chris. You know the Native Americans around me did similar things for their dead. The greens are all so nice and rich. A polarizer would have been good here. Good one Chris!

Hi Chris
The tumulus are very stange for me. The green color is so clear. It look like the colors of rice fields. Interesting note.

Hi Chris. Interesting place and interesting compostion. I like the POV and the graphism.
Good informative note (it would be difficult to nderstand what was the real use of these unusal structures without it!).
Thanks for sharing.

I like the subtleness of the pov, very good indeed, with that tree breaking the monotony of the curious man made hills.
Everything is great except the sky, which is kind of liveless, too pale.

Hi Chris,
While browsing into your gallery I stopped on that photo which I found interesting. I was attracted by the shape of the burial mounds and didn t know about it. The inclusion of the tree /shadow is also good...

Hi Chris.
Could be a much more interesting photo, but the sky is here a problem. Doesn't add nothing and is too white.
Anyway, an interesting note and a good composition.
