Photographer’s Note
This sculpture, very realistic indeed, symbolizes the death of the Milanese cyclist. The Author, infact, wanted to give you the idea that in this city smog, thieves, absence of cycle-paths make and parkings make the life of pedal’s lovers very hard. The rust in the bicycle chain represents the definitive risolution to leave these means of transport; the black of the bicycle chassis is the mourning. What a headwork. The sculpture is in corso di Porta Romana in downtown
P.S. Not having much lucky the pop Artist needed of a sponsor.

It is full with humour this photograph and quite sad at the same time for the former owner of the bicycle. Actually taken under this angle, that becomes a sculpture of more surprising. The mark Rossignoli (nightingale "bird", I suppose in French, does not sing more)! Thank you for the note. Very well done Gae. There are many robbery also in Paris of the two wheels. -; ((

Indeed modern art Gae, but pity for the proprietor, sharp image and good note too. Thanks for sharing.

Great shot. Glad you decided to take it. I would have probably walked right by it. The only thing I would like to see is the owners face when he came back out.

Zanni, do you notice that in sport, whatever the type of sporting is, it is always multicolor. The clothing, the equipment and just about anything and everything connected to it, colors is a must.
But when the sportman or equipment is not active, the color is only one. Dull or grey.
Your picture says it all, for the death of this sport, or at least this bike. It will never see the colors or the speeding air, passing thru it.

Very realistic sculpture, Very interesting shot. It is almost art exactly.
I have been taken the leg of travel by the bicycle thief in Rome. but I like Italy!

Ciao Gae,
a volte i soggetti più strani, possono generare belle foto.
Basta avere fantasia e buon occhio!
