Photographer’s Note
Say cheese Somehow its difficult for me to "shot" people I meet in the streets – its always a bit candid and even experienced a few getting angry at me :-(
I spotted a group of kids posing by a statue of H. C. Andersen and was quick to take my version of the setup.
Part of an artwork by Jens Galschiøt
not yet finished.
At this age is it their mother (in some degree) who decide what to wear – I still wonder how they might look in a teen years time – perhaps like this :-)

The contrast with the picture in WS is what I like here and indeed they might become like this during a few years...
About this picture, it's well composed with those danish flag in the background. Well seen!

Hej Jeppe,
Et sjovt billede med disse børn sammen med den mand hvis eventyr de utvivlsomt kender. Lyset er godt og det er altid rart også at have nogle Dannebrogsflag med! :-)
Hilsen,

Hi Jeppe. You know when I was in Bryce Canyon a German family asked me to take their picture. I yelled "Say cheese!" I got the most perplexed looks on their faces. It was too funny. I like the light you had and how you were able to incorporate so much of the surroundings. Good one Jeppe!

Not bad this attempt at a candid photo on the street, Jeppe. Good expressions captured in this engaging scene of the group getting ready to have their photo taken with the Andersen statue. And even some Danish flags on the shop window behind, not bad. Fun add with the WS photo, some interesting fashion statements in there ;)

Hi Jeppe,
Well composed in the portrait format. I like the dynamics here, with the statue of the man looking very fatherly with all of these children. Good exposure level and sharpness. Your note expresses my own thoughts as to how "skittish" people can be when you point a camera at them, which is why I admire so much the TE photographers on the site who are able to continually produce street scenes without their being attacked or shouted at....A superb capture.

Hej Jeppe...
Ina...

There is here with the size of the statue some kind of "paternalism".
Very well done and interesting pause.

Hi Jeppe.
I like how these children are here, perfectly in accord with the "attitude" and the protective smile of Andersen's statue. I think this scene must be a classic for tourist visitors in this city...
Thanks for sharing.
