Photographer’s Note
"Fort Moultrie's history covers 171 years of seacoast defense, including the first decisive victory in the American Revolution and firing onto Fort Sumter during the first battle of the Civil War. The third Fort Moultrie, built in 1809, stands today." - Gorp.away.com
This is a passage through the exterior wall toward the interior of the fort.

Hi Gray
Glad you liked my lawn art. Had to come see whatg you have been doing. Like this one a lot since I'm a bit of a Civil War buff. Been to the Carolinas and toured some of the sights. You did a wonderful job with the lighting and the perfect DOF.

Dan

Hi Gray,
I like the detail on the ground produced by that very nice light coming in from that opening. I agree that it would be better it the top [art of the arch wasn't cropped off. But I like your composition and details very much, and as you've seen I also like the subject of old forts.

Daniel

Hi Gary
Very colorful photo that is loaded with fine detail. The light at the end really compliments this shot. The historical note was very interesting.

Gray, bonne et heureuse année !
Belle photo qui joue avec le graphisme superbe et les couleurs sous une lumière qui vient du bout de la perspective.

Hello Gary,
Very nice architectual shot of yours and good photographer's notes. The composition and lighting are perfect. Without the refections of bright sunlight this old fort would have looked drab. Well done!

Hi Gray,
This photo is very pleasing to my eye. I love the glow at the end of the tunnel. The textures, perspective, point of view, are all excellent, as is your use of light. Beautiful, thank you!

Rachel
